Where to EAT in Dallas

With over seven thousand restaurants ranging from casual barbeque joints to five-diamond dining, Dallas is a town full of foodies, celebrity chefs, and eager diners. Restaurant-going seems to be a local pastime here as Dallasites flock to the opening of each and every new venue that springs up and end up talking about it for days afterwards. And, if you’re thinking that Tex-Mex or Southern fried food is all that's to be had here, think again. Dallas is home to seven four-star restaurants, a host of big-name chefs (like Dean Fearing, Wolfgang Puck, and Stephan Pyles), and the formidable French Room, which was ranked the Number 1 restaurant in the U.S. by Zagat Survey in 2006.
